How do currency conversions work for pricing?
Tixmondo supports multiple currencies for product pricing: RON (LEI), EUR (EURO), and USD.
Here is how it works:
- When creating a price, you choose the base currency (e.g., EURO).
- The system automatically calculates the equivalent in other currencies using current exchange rates.
- Customers see the price in the currency of their region or the event's default currency.
- All payments in Romania are processed in RON through the payment gateway, with the EUR equivalent shown for reference.
Important: When setting prices in the backend, use the correct currency code: EURO (not EUR), LEI (not RON), USD.
