How do the chair markers around tables work in the floor plan?

When customers view your Floor Plan on the event page, each reservable table is rendered with small chair markers around it — a top-down view that mimics a real venue.

    How many chairs appear?

Chairs are drawn based on the table's Capacity. A table with no capacity set will not show any chairs, even if the side toggles are enabled.

    Controlling which sides show chairs

Open Tools → Venue Designer, switch to the Floor Plan tab, and select a table. In the right-hand properties panel you'll see a Chairs around table section:

    • Rectangular / Square / Hexagon tables — four checkboxes (Top, Right, Bottom, Left). Uncheck a side to hide chairs there. Chairs are distributed evenly across the active sides: e.g. a capacity of 4 with three active sides becomes 2 + 1 + 1.
    • Round / Oval tables — a single Show chairs toggle. When on, chairs are placed evenly around the whole table.

Why would I hide chairs on some sides?

Typical case: a table with a couch or bench on one side. Without side control, the table would render with chairs on the couch side, which looks wrong. Uncheck that side and the layout matches reality.

The designer canvas shows chairs live while you edit, so what you see in the designer is what customers see on the live page. Don't forget to press Save — the button briefly flashes Saved! on success.
