What happens when a customer uses a Digital voucher at checkout?

When a customer has a Digital voucher in their account, they can apply it during checkout:

1. At checkout, the customer sees their available vouchers.
2. They select the voucher to apply.
3. The voucher value is deducted from the order total.

Splittable vouchers:

If the voucher is set as splittable ("Can be split across multiple purchases"):

• Only the needed amount is deducted from the voucher.
• The remaining balance stays on the voucher for future use.
• Example: 100 EUR voucher used on a 30 EUR order → 70 EUR remaining.

Non-splittable vouchers:

If the voucher is not splittable:

• The entire voucher value is applied in one transaction.
• If the order total is less than the voucher value, the excess is lost.
• Example: 100 EUR voucher used on a 30 EUR order → voucher fully consumed, 70 EUR lost.

Important: The voucher reduces the total amount the customer needs to pay. If the voucher covers the full order, no payment is needed.
